Part of the reason I am in love with places like Royal Oak and Ann Arbor is the music. I have noticed that just about everywhere I go in these places have the most awesome playlists. Music sets the tone and the rhythm of the traffic. You go to places like NY and you hear these loud techno bass mixes and everyone is moving fast and looking like they have somewhere important to be in a huge hurry....

World Star Hip Hop was a well known “urban” news site that has now been shut down. The reasons? I don’t know and I don’t care. I’m just happy it’s gone. But that is only part of the battle. Sites like Mediatakeout, VladTv, and various others still exist. Viacom still exists. FOX still exists. And while I am happy WSHH is gone, it wasn’t our biggest problem.
